A static site is one where the content is the same regardless
of where you are or what you want to see. The pages are written
and that's that, until the need changing. This will be more than
adequate for many companies.
A dynamic site will change from time to time, or on every visit.
Examples include sites where they display information from a database
of stock you hold, you don't want to be in a position of advertising
unobtainable stock, an example can be found at www.berrimanproperties.com.
Another often used example is a site that contains a news section.
On this site there might be a single page where a nominated person
can change, alter or add to the content, via a custom interface
on a 'secret' part of the web site.
Another option is where prices are shown. A recent site that does
just this is at www.holmesapartments.com. |
